The Center for Behavioral Decisions (“CBD,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates this website and the related services, content, and communications offered through it (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information when you visit the Site, contact us, subscribe to our newsletter, or create a member account.

Information you provide to us

• Contact & enquiries. When you complete our contact form or email us, we collect your name, email address, organization, and the details of your message.
• Newsletter. When you subscribe, we collect your email address.
• Member accounts. If you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and account preferences such as saved insights and saved dictionary terms.
• Scheduling. If you book a call, the information you submit is processed by our scheduling provider to arrange the meeting.

Information collected automatically

• Usage & device data. Like most websites, we automatically receive standard log information, such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring pages, and similar analytics data about how the Site is used.
• Cookies & similar technologies. We and our analytics provider use cookies and local storage to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

• To respond to your enquiries and provide the services you request;
• To send you our newsletter and updates you have asked to receive;
• To create and manage your member account and remember your saved content;

• SendGrid, newsletter and email delivery;
• Our scheduling provider, booking and managing calls.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of CBD, our users, or others.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law. You may ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to our legal obligations.

7. Your rights and choices

• Access & correction. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it.
• Deletion. You may ask us to delete your personal information or close your account.
• Newsletter. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
