This paper presents a methodology for identifying, testing, and adaptively improving behavioral interventions through design. Drawing on behavioral science, the approach uses environmental nudges delivered through architecture, lighting, auditory cues, visual communication, and other design means. The methodology emphasizes baseline measurement, rapid prototyping, continuous data collection, and iterative refinement. A corporate office application focused on dynamic lighting is presented to illustrate how adaptive design interventions can support employee well-being and productivity.

1. Introduction

Human behavior is strongly shaped by the environments in which people live, work, learn, and interact. Design decisions such as spatial layout, lighting, signage, sound, imagery, and architectural form can influence attention, movement, decision-making, mood, and performance.
